  • Walking from Glasgow to the Kelpies for Who Cares? Scotland

On Friday 3rd July, one of our key Logos team members, Emma McGibbon, courageously decided to walk 27 miles from Glasgow all the way to the Kelpies in Falkirk as part of the virtual Kiltwalk for ‘Who Cares? Scotland’! Even though it was a very rainy day.

The charity, ‘Who Cares? Scotland’ is a national voluntary organisation that has existed for over 40 years. They work with care experienced young people and care leavers across Scotland and do everything in their power to make sure the voices of these care experienced people are heard and understood. This charity started from a mere 12 advocates covering 29 Scottish local Authorities in 1997, to now growing to 137 staff consisting volunteers who do not only offer advocacy but also active participation and influential activities across all of Scotland.

This organisation has made many amazing achievements such as changing the Scottish law to letting young people stay in care up until the age of 21. You can read more about their achievements over the past 40 years on their website here.

The rain did not stop Emma and her 3 teammates as they managed to march their way all the wat upto the kelpies and back! As of writing this, we are proud to say that they have managed to raise £713.16 so far!

If you are willing to donate, please visit their donation page by clicking here  and help them reach £1,000 for an amazing cause!
